The Holy Alphabet

Thank you all so much for your prayers for my Mom. She is doing better.

I thought this was very sweet and wanted to share it with my sweet Sisters.

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!
The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

As a mother some times we forget that our little ones are watching us I know I did.

Some times a little reminder is good. So I thought you all might enjoy this. I know that my sweet sisters live there lives as ex samples before there families. I know that you teach them about the Lord. All I wanted to do is remind us that there are many eyes on us not only our families. I read this and was reminded.

Children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life. When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always talk to, and I learned to trust in Him. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing, and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn' t feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up. When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be. When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up. When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say,'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.' LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT . Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, & friend) influences the life of a child. How will you touch the life of someone today?

Live simply. Love generously.

Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Blessing from God

Our children are a gift from God as you all know. I am thankful for my children and grandchildren. I have learned a lot from them. When my kids were small they would fight all the time. This would trouble me. I knew this was not what the Lord wanted. I begain to seek the Lord to know what I could do to change this. I told them that they were a gift to each other from God, that seemed to help some. Them one day the Lord gave this to me. I was so comforted to see this work in my home. I set them both down and told them that there was a monster that lived inside them. It was in a cage and they had a key. When they would start to get up set at each other then they would run over to get the key and unlock the door to the cage and let the monster out. Once the monster was out it was very hard to put the monster back in the cage. So when you start to get up set at each other and your running over to get the key that's when you can pray and ask Jesus to help you to not be mad and help you to love each other. There little eyes were big and they were listing to me very close. When I was done talking to them they went off to play. Not to long after that I heard one of them getting upset with the other. I went to the room where they were playing and asked them if they were running over to get the key and they said very up set yes. I then said lets pray and they ran over into my arms and we all prayed. This gave my children a mental picture of there flesh rising and taught them to pray when they got up set. The Lord is so good to us.

The other day my grandson was over and we were playing a game. I won the game and he was up set about it. I talked to him about being up set. He is nine years old. His mom came in the room and saw this and she asked him if he wanted to do ten blessing. I looked at her and ask what is ten blessing? My grandson was still up set about loosing the game. So she asked him to count ten blessing for us. He started to count them and by the time he was on his fifth blessing his little brother who is two ran over and hugged him and said that his heart was already happy. This touched my heart so much. I was so comforted by this. My daughter was having a hard time at work and called me and was telling me about it and it came to my mind to ask her if she needed to count ten blessing. She got quite and I said one then she started to count and she had a happy heart at the end. We both laughed and thanked the Lord for each other. She then told me that her hubby was up set and started to count his blessing out loud, there son ran over and said that he wanted to hear daddy's blessing. What a wonderful tool the Lord has given us. I wanted to share this with my dear sister's because it touched my heart and I hope it will touch yours.
